Hot tempered children Hot-tempered children are those who are fast to respond to positive stimulants such as going out for an ice-cream and negative stimulants such as being teased by a friend or being scolded. One of the causes is the physiology of that child. A hyper child is basically sensitive to his environment and is fast to pick up what he sees from his peers and other stimulants such as televisions and movies. Steps for dealing with this situation is , at first, the parents should be able to 'read' the expression from their faces and tell of their feelings. Secondly, if they could urge their children to speak out about their particular feelings, the children would feel better. A child should have words of feeling in store especially at the younger age to be able to express himself. Thirdly, The parents should be ready to listen and accept their words of feeling but not their aggressive behavior. It was found that if they could talk about their feelings, these troubled children could deal with them selves better. After talks, the process of problem solving should follow. The important thing is that the parents should be calm and careful in handing the situation. Remember to be 'cool' when telling your children to be cool. Tell yourself not to be depressed when you are depressed. Be optimistic that things will get better. Keep in mind to 'cool down' always.
