To be Happy is to Know How to Work
"A workaholic is never happy", an expert on work once said. To have a determination when working is good but once you over do it, it will be harmful to your body. A body needs a rest on weekends to rebuild your strength. Stephanie Culp wrote in her book "You Can Find More Time for Yourself Every Day" that we should not work 7 days a week. Even house works on weekends are not to be over do. We should know how to manage the time if we want to be happy and enjoy our weekends. Some of her suggestions in managing the time are :
1. Do your grocery shopping midweek instead of during the weekend. 2. If you are an early bird, get up a half-hour earlier and do some chores. 3. Prepare weekend meals ahead of time. 4. Turn off the TV some weeknights if nothing really interesting is on and do some house cleaning. 5. By organizing during the week, you will be able to start enjoying your weekend. This way the weekends can be the time to relax and getting over the long hard working weeks. "How to fit More Fun into Your Weekend" is another article in "Weekly World News" that supports Culp's idea. In summary, it said that we should not think only about work. Our lives are precious and we should not work until it ruins our health. Make Saturday a day for happiness and Sunday a day for refuel yourself. If you work with your brain and know when to stop with your heart, happiness is definitely within reach.
